PV Sindhu got India its first silver on Thursday at Rio Olympics 2016 and the nation can't thank the shuttler enough. She may have lost the badminton singles match to world number one Carolina Marin however she won a billion hearts with her superlative exertion.
As the match started, twitterati and Bollywood celebs were cheering the 21-year-old Sindhu on. Salman Khan shared a photo of Sindhu and him together and composed, "Saw d finals on television with my mother and advised her I hv a photo with Sindhu . Glad ."
Amitabh Bachchan, an eager games fan who has been cheering the unforeseen as far back as Olympics started, took to Twitter to compose, "#PVSindhu you played your heart out !
